Achievements

2017-18

  1. Divyanshu of class II bagged first position in the state level SIP
  2. AshishRana of class XII got Second position in Poster Making at GMSSS.
  3. Priya of Class VI received cash prize of RS. 700/- at state and district level drawing competition.
  4. Prince, Maitri,Dhruv,Ashotosh, Vritika, our Columbians were the winners of legal literary programme held at GMSSS got Rs.33000 and Rs.16400 at District and divisional level competition.
  5. Priya  Yadav of class VI D was selected for the HaryanaState level Painting competition on 14th November 2017 at Indradhanush Auditorium Sector- 5, Panchkula. Her topic was Save energy Save earth, organized by the Ministry of power in association with Bureau of Energy efficiency undertook the National Awareness Campaign 2017.
  6. Ashish Rana of class XII A won second prize in Poster Making Competition under legal literary programme 2017 held at GMSSS, Sector 28 Faridabad on the occasion of Children’s Day.
  7. In Quiz Competition, Ritu Raj and PriyaYadav of class VI and Aman Kathait of class VII bagged third prize. Ishaanvi Reet of class VIII won third prize in Hindi Declamation. They were felicitated with a cash reward of Rs 500/- and a certificate of Merit participated in ‘Gita Jayanti’ programme by Haryana Inter School level Competition on 16th November 2017.
  8. 17 students of St. Columbus School Harshit, Aryan, Devansh, Aditya, Rohan, Sameer, Aman, Rishav, Akash, Sandeep, Abhay, Harshvardhan, Anas, Nikhil, Prince and Sumit brought laurels to the school by winning 17 gold medals and the Best Team Trophy in Inter School Taekwondo Championship organised at DAV Public, NIT Faridabad.
  9. 13th Sub Junior National Double Wicket Cricket Championship was organised from 19thto  21st May 2017 and 7 students secured third position by representing state Haryana. The competition was organised at BalBharti Public School, Pritampura. VivekSaraswat, ShubhamGangwal, Prashant Kumar Choudhary, Adarsh Kumar Pathak, PriyanshChamoli, Mujeeb Ahmed and Rohit Roy.
  10. 23 students went to Singapore for “Singapore Masters Cup 2017” in two different categories under 14 and under 19
  11. Vinita Chaudhary and Shivanshi participated in CBSE cluster 15 and made us proud by winning 1 gold and I bronze medal each in different events
  12.  Mohit Kumar of Class IX won silver Medal in National Rural Boxing Championship under 17 wt. 60 kg.
  13. Vinita Chaudhary and Nikita Chaudhary have also been blessed to be the participant of School Games Federation of India, the most prestigious Tournament in the field of sports which was held in December 2017.

2018 -19

  • KPS – A Sankalan of Witpiks. Students brought laurels by participating in Interschool competition. A Sankalan of Witpiks at KPS Alaknanda on 31st July, 2018. bagged Roiling Trophy for the two consecutive years.
  • Tathastu of St. Columbus School Dayalbagh, was awarded as Best Child Actor for performing in Halka movie at 23rd film festival  Schlingel held at Chemnitz Germany from 1st October to 6th October 2018.
  • Swatchh Bharat Pakhwada Activity conducted by CBSE from 1st September to 15th September 2018. Our children and staff organized the Pakhwada and actively participated in it.                    

2019-20

CBSE Games and sports organised yearly Cluster XV Games in which our school athletics team participated from 2nd Oct. to 6th Oct. 2019 a Rao  Khem Chand Vidya Vihar Rewari (Haryana). Kirti Isharwal of Class XII participated and won a Gold Medal in Shotput and Bronze in Javelin Throw, and she has qualified for CBSE National Games held in Bheemtara from 26th Nov to 30th Nov 2019. She also qualified for National Athletic meet 2019-20 organised by School Games Federation of India at Chattisgarh, Raipur which is a prestigious games and sports for school students.

Bikramjeet, a student of Class IX, has held our head high with pride by winning a Gold Medal in 40 kg Martial Arts Competition.

AniketSinghal of Class XII has secured second place in the 102 kg weight class organised by Delhi State Weight Lifting Association from 31st Aug. to 1st Sept 2019 at Deshbandhu College Kalkaji, New Delhi

 

Esha Padhy

  • Awarded Certificate of Excellence by World Cultural Forum for showcasing her Bharatnatyam Dance talent at UNESCO Cultural Diversity Festival 2016, Doha.
  • Awarded Certificate of Excellence in Bicentenary & Zojila Day Celebration by 4th BN the Rajput Regiment in 2016.
  • Second Distinction in Madhyama Pratham Examination, Held by Akhil Bhartitya Gandharv Mahavidhyalay Mandal, Mumbai.
  • Participated in the World Culture Festival in the classical Bhartnatyam dance hosted by the Art of living at New Delhi in 2016.                                                                                   

Anjali

  • II position holder in the Block, District & Divisional level competition of skit organised by Legal Litracy Club, Govt. of Haryana.

Vinita Choudhary

  • Gold medallist in 800m. Race in senior girl’s category in Delhi State YMCA Athletic Meet 2017.
  • Won Bronze medal in 400m. Race in Khelo Khel India-2016 organised by Sports Authority of India.
  • Gold medallist in 800m. Race in senior girl’s category in Delhi State YMCA Athletic Meet 2017.

Anjali Kathait

  • Has been a winner in Essay Writing Competition in CBSE expression Series on      Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay organised by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India , 2014.
  • Won II position in skit at Block, District & Divisional level in Legal Literacy Programme, Inter School Competition organised by Govt. of Haryana.

In the field of sports, accordant yet another International win in Malaysia in the month of February 2019. We have had the honour of winning all the international tournaments  held in Dubai -2011 , Sri Lanka- 2012 , Moscow -2013 , Nepal-2014 and Singapore 2017.

St. Columbus School Dayal Bagh, Faridabad honoured the bravery of 25 valiant soldiers of CRPF who sacrificed their precious lives on 24th April 2017 at Sukma, Jharkhand. Since time immemorial our soldiers have been sacrificing their lives to protect the country at any cost.

On 31st October at GMSSS sector 28 Fbd ,four gems of our school won the prizes for slogan writing, collage making, speech declamation and poem writing on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhai Patel Jayanti.

Yet another  awesome  opportunity was in store for all of us as we got an invitation to visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan to tie the sacred band of brotherhood  to the President  of India  on the auspicious occasion of  Raksha  Bandhan. Our  students had the privilege to interact with Revered Former honourable President of India   Sh. Pranab Mukherjee, present honourable President, Sh. Ram Nath Kovind ji and the Prime Minister of India Sh. Narender Modi Ji. We  also showed our gratitude by tying hand made  Rakhis to the police officers on duty  at Surajkund police station.
It became extra special  for us when we were invited by the Indian Army to have an interaction with them on the occasion of ZojiLa Day.

 

I proudly announce that Rohan Bhandari, Anas Ansari and Devansh bagged the gold medals ,while Sumit Sinha and Mayank won silver medals.
Sandeep and Yogesh won bronze  in Open National Taekwondo championship was held on September 30 and 1st October 2016 at Ballabgarh . It is really a matter of immense pride for us to share the achievements of Mr. Ashish Baluni, Physical Education Teacher of our School and he is an emerging Taekwondo player. He has registered his name to represent India in 3rd Heroes Cup (Taekwondo Championship) for Asian region -2017. The championship will be held at beautiful city Bangkok, Thailand from 5th august 2017 to 9th august 2017.

It was worth notable fact that more than 18 countries had taken active part in this championship. Some African and European countries had also taken part along with Pakistan, Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China etc. Mr. Ashish Baluni was represent India in – 80 weight category.

It was a proud moment for the school when the physical education teacher Mr. Raju won Gold Medal in the 16th Haryana State Kickboxing Championship 2017, held from 11th to 13th August 2017.

It is few of our achievements that we have recorded in the past few years and the more is yet to follow.

The championship was organised by Kaithal District Kick boxing Association and was held at Diamond Jublee Indoor Sports Stadium, RKSD(PG), Kaithal, Haryana. The championship was in Senior Men’s Category in 94kg weight.
